YOUNTVILLE, Calif – According to CBS News San Francisco, one person died and five were hurt in a head-on crash Saturday afternoon east of Yountville in Wine country.
Between Oak Knoll and Yountville Cross Road, the accident occurred at 6121 Silverado Trail at roughly 4:20 PM, according to the California Highway Patrol.
One vehicle with four people headed southbound on the Silverado Trail. The other, with two inside, headed northbound. The southbound vehicle crossed into the other lane, hitting the northbound vehicle head-on. The southbound vehicle’s driver left on foot and, as of this writing, is still being sought in connection with the accident.
