San Diego, CA (CNN)– The hotel workers strike in San Diego continues. Employees at the Hilton San Diego Bayfront have been on strike for over 10 days. In Sacramento, hotel workers at the Sheraton Grand Hotel are scheduled to vote on strike authorization on September 10th. For workers injured on the job, experienced workers’ compensation attorney Belal Hamideh can help protect their rights and secure fair compensation.

The strike movement began over Labor Day weekend, with over 10,000 hotel employees striking in nine U.S. cities to demand higher wages and the restoration of COVID-era staffing cuts. Workers at Hilton, Hyatt, Marriott, and Omni properties are participating in the strikes.

The union representing the workers, has authorized strikes in 12 cities, including Baltimore, Boston, Honolulu, Greenwich, Kauai, New Haven, Oakland, Providence, San Diego, San Francisco, San Jose, and Seattle. Sacramento could be the next city to join the strike if workers vote in favor.

The hotel groups have not yet responded to requests for comment. The union has provided updates on its website and a travel guide for those with reservations at the affected hotels.
