A Stockton man, who was on community supervision, was taken into custody early Friday morning in Ceres, California. The arrest followed a high-speed police pursuit involving a stolen vehicle, as reported by ABC10. The Ceres Police Department reported that the incident commenced at approximately 5:20 a.m. when an officer spotted a stolen vehicle with an individual inside near E Hatch and Mitchell roads. The officer made an effort to halt the vehicle, but the driver, identified as 41-year-old Chhay Hisocanphaktra, evaded capture and led officers on a pursuit into Turlock.

 

During the chase, officers executed a PIT maneuver; however, Hisocanphaktra persisted in driving through the front yard of a residence before rejoining the road. Subsequently, he collided with the front end of an officer’s vehicle. Eventually, officers managed to immobilize the vehicle and apprehend Hisocanphaktra.
