POMONA, Calif – According to KTLA5, after a vehicle crash at a Pomona intersection, one person was wounded following police gunfire.
In the 600 block of West Holt Ave at around 7:45 PM, phone video showed police shooting in the direction of someone they said had pointed a firearm at them. Videos are unclear as to whether officers were in pursuit before when the crash occurred.
In the video, it is possible to see officers moving toward the wounded suspect with their guns drawn as the suspect raises a hand out of the window. Police took the suspect into custody.
No other injuries were reported. A firearm was found at the scene. The person was in stable condition when sent to the hospital.
