The incident occurred at around 3:30 PM. Witnesses reported a white midsize SUV “weaving, speeding, and almost colliding into the person who called in the accident.” The truck was seen going 100+ miles per hour southbound in the northbound lanes. Finally, near the Saratoga Ave off ramp from the SR 85 N, the SUV hit a white Tesla Model Y.
Rescuers pulled a male out of the truck. He had suffered “trauma.” Authorities withheld the identity of the perished person, pending contacting their family.
Drivers had to dealt with heavily affected traffic in the area for the next several hours. The investigation into the accident is continuing.
