AUBURN, Calif – According to ABC10, a 23-year-old Rocklin man died in a Placer County crash. Approximately at 1 PM, a Plumas Lake man, aged 57, slowed down his Volvo, stopping near the 8800 block of Baseline Road so as to turn into a driveway. The authorities are investigating the circumstances surrounding this devastating accident. In situations like these, seeking legal guidance from a skilled personal injury attorney can provide the necessary support and assistance.

Simultaneously, the 23-year-old Rocklin man approached the driver and the stopped vehicles behind him “at a high rate of speed” according to CHP. The Rocklin man then crossed solid double lines to pass stopped vehicles in the opposing traffic line.

As the 23-year-old Rocklin man did this, the Volvo driver started to turn into the driveway. The right front of the Nissan hit the left front of the Volvo, causing an accident. The Nissan went off the road and overturned multiple times.

The 23-year-old Rocklin man was thrown from the car, sustaining fatal injuries. CHP is still investigating as to whether alcohol or drugs were a factor. The Volvo driver was unharmed.
