At around 4:30 PM, there was an accident near the SR 299 onramp from the I-5N. Witnesses reported that a vehicle “cut across several lanes” and ultimately overturned. The vehicle came to a rest about 25-30 feet off of the roadway. The occupant was pronounced dead at the scene by the coroner.
Their identity has not been released as their family has yet to be notified. An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
